During September and October 2017, Select Surveys were audited by Achilles for the assessment of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality practices and procedures.
Achilles are a global leader and partner of choice for supply chain risk and performance management across the Natural Resources, Industrials and Infrastructure sectors. They run supplier pre-qualification programmes, validate data, carry out industry audits and mitigate risks. They are an important partner to Select Surveys as they provide a recognised and approved accreditation, which checks compliance and validates the procedures and work we undertake. By having this independent partner, our clients have confidence in the quality of the services that we can offer.
The Verify Audit was introduced by the Achilles UVDB (Utilities Vendor Database) community to provide a higher level of pre-qualification assurance for buyers within the utilities sector. The intent of the Verify Audit is to enable Achilles UVDB buyers’ access to a suitably pre-qualified supply chain that they can invite to tender.
The Verify Audit specifically looks at our approach to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility. The Verify protocol provides our clients an independent assessment of our management systems in each of the discipline areas both from an internal management system perspective as well as a test of the application onsite.
After the audit, Achilles shared reports with us; identifying areas for improvement, and giving observations and recommendations. These reports are also published in a secure online portal so buyers can manage all supplier information in one place.
We were very proud to receive extremely positive comments from the audit. We achieved 100% in every discipline through the management system evaluation and the onsite assessment.
