Select Surveys employees have raised £1000 for charity by completing the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023!
The London Landmarks half marathon is a closed road, central London run, through both the City of London and City of Westminster.
Starting at the iconic Pall Mall, runners take in the sights and sounds of London’s awe-inspiring landmarks along the 21km route, eventually finishing outside Downing Street.
Select Surveys employees Nick and John signed up to the event with the aim of raising £500 for our partner charity Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF).
Select Surveys have been supporting QEF since 2021. Working with over 5000 children & adults that are affected by disabilities and brain injuries, QEF is integral in helping disabled people to fulfil their potential in life providing rehabilitation after a brain injury or stroke and improving independence through increased mobility and accessible holidays.
Unfortunately on the day John was unable to take part due to injury but thankfully his brother Pete stood in for him and both he and Nick managed to complete the half marathon with brilliant times – Nick in 1hour 39mins and Pete in 2hours 02mins.
They also raised an impressive £1000, doubling the amount they hoped for.
“Many congratulations to your team who ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday. We are truly appreciative of their incredible hard work and dedication with training and also fundraising. Thank you to Select Surveys for your continued support of QEF and the work that we do.”
